June Activity Week 2012
HMS "Belfast"
Monday, 25th June 2012 till Sunday, 01st Jul 2012 inclusive
The RNARS London (HMS "Belfast") Group held their usual yearly activity on board HMS Belfast.
For this special occasion members travelled from many countries to be heard all across
the bands worldwide with the special call sign GB2RN. This is the amateur station which is
situated in the bridge wireless office (BWO) on board the cruiser HMS "Belfast".

Following partial collaspe of the gangway, GB2RN / GB4ØHMSB activation is currently on hold. The photos shown here were taken from the quarterdeck by HMS Belfast Leading Yeoman / London Group Committee Member Rodrigo Passannanti 2EØRPS, who was on duty at the time.
HMS Belfast will remain closed to public until further notice for six months.

According to this the EAW was changed to the "Historic Dockyard" at Chatham.
EAW took place aboard HMS "Cavalier" GB2CAV.

The originally planned EAW was made up after renewal of the gangway as an activity week (AW) in June, 2012 aboard the HMS "Belfast".

2011 - 2012 will see the 40th anniversary of HMS Belfast's arrival in the pool of London in October 1971.
To commemorate this event we shall temporary be using the special Call sign
GB4ØHMSB from the Bridge Wireless Office again
from 22th February 2012 until 31st May 2012 inclusive..
A special QSL card will be printed to confirm all contacts.
